The capital budget makes up $409 million of Chairwoman Nicole Love Hendrickson’s proposed $2.6 billion budget and maintains existing infrastructure like buildings, parks, and roads, and pays for new ones. Water Resources is responsible for the largest category of the capital budget at 42 percent, followed by 14 percent for transportation.
This portion of the budget includes funding for SPLOST revenue-sharing with our cities, public safety, parks, technology, and other capital needs.
