Douglas County is pleased to welcome its newest class of Citizens Academy participants to the courthouse! Citizens Academy is a 10-week comprehensive and interactive program created with the goal of providing residents with a deeper, more nuanced understanding of local government operations, programs, and services. During their session, participants will have the opportunity to interface with elected and appointed officials and engage directly with department representatives. The newest cohort is comprised of 32 citizens who are dedicated to civic engagement and eager to learn more about Douglas County.
