Letter from the Executive Director

Dear GABCO Members,

I hope this message finds you well and thriving in your service to your county and community.

As Executive Director of the Georgia Association of Black County Officials (GABCO), I want to thank you for your continued leadership and commitment to excellence in local government. Your role is vital to ensuring equity, progress, and representation for communities across our state.

As we move forward with bold plans to strengthen our organization, I want to personally encourage you to take an active role in GABCO. Now more than ever, your participation and voice matter.

We are calling on all members to ensure their dues are current for the 2025 membership year. Your dues directly support the programs, advocacy efforts, and strategic initiatives that help elevate Black leadership at the county level. Active members receive:

  • Access to exclusive leadership training and networking events

  • Representation in statewide policy discussions and forums

  • Opportunities to collaborate and share best practices with peers across Georgia

  • Recognition and visibility as a GABCO member in good standing

We want to see every Black county official in Georgia engaged, empowered, and connected through GABCO. Let’s continue to build together.

If you have already paid your dues—thank you. If not, we invite you to renew your membership today and continue being part of this vital movement.

You can pay your dues online or I will be happy to send you an invoice. For assistance, feel free to contact us directly at gabcomembership@gmail.com / 404.692.3224.

Thank you for your leadership, your service, and your continued partnership.

In solidarity and service,
Erica-Antoinette Slaton
Executive Director
