The City of Augusta proudly partners with Golden Harvest Food Bank in the mission to combat food insecurity within our community. This year’s “Augusta Cares” Food Drive exemplified this commitment, with city departments rallying to collect an impressive 3,000 pounds of food in just under three weeks. This substantial effort translated to approximately 2,500 meals dedicated to families confronting difficult times. Central Services worked diligently to ensure rapid delivery of these donations, emphasizing our united support for Augusta-Richmond County residents facing financial challenges. Recognition is due to all departments and employees whose contributions made a significant impact. Together, we are focused on enhancing the vital network of resources that assist our community.
