Today, I had the privilege of presenting my proposed budget for Fiscal Year 2026 to the Board of Commissioners and to our community. This year’s proposal reflects a $66 million decrease from the 2025 approved budget. We took a zero-based budgeting approach, reviewing each line item to ensure we are making the most responsible use of taxpayer dollars while maintaining the high-quality services our residents expect. Just like many families and businesses, we’re navigating the impacts of inflation and economic uncertainty. Thanks to the leadership of my Citizens Budget Review Committee and their collaboration with our county departments and elected offices, this proposed budget continues to prioritize public safety, infrastructure, and the essential services that support our growing community. Key investments include: Upgrading our 911 phone system to improve emergency response Continuing to expand Community Resource Centers, including the new hub on Grayson Highway Maintaining safe roadways through proactive repaving Protecting our water resources with reliable water, wastewater, and stormwater services I’m grateful to the residents who served on this year’s citizen review committee and helped shape this proposal with their thoughtful recommendations. Now, I invite you to be part of the process. Read the full 2026 proposed budget by clicking the link in my bio and share your input! Your voice matters, and together we can ensure Gwinnett continues to thrive.
